Interview with Author E. Van Lowe with #Giveaway

Please let us a bit about yourself and Earth Angel.

I’m a fun loving writer who likes putting his female protagonists in dangerous yet romantic situations. I grew up in New York City, moved to LA to go to graduate school, and wound up staying in California.

Megan has a lot to deal with in Earth Angel. After saving both herself and her mother from becoming Satan’s bride in Boyfriend From Hell, she now faces both heaven and hell coming after her and the angel she loves.

What was your inspiration for this series?

It didn’t start out as a series. Boyfriend From Hell started out as a one-off, but I found so much interesting data while doing my research on angels that I knew I wanted to see these characters again. Now there’s four books in the series. I have the third, Heaven Sent, all laid out.

Who is your favorite character to write and why?

In this book it was the demon, Ibwa. The personality of the demon was not in the outline, but when I started writing the character emerged. He was a lot of fun to write.

Do you have any writing necessities? Food or location?

I like writing in the dining room because it’s so close to the kitchen, where I can jump up and grab a snack. But I don’t really have any necessities. I don’t like to write in the same location all the time. I like a change of scenery.

Who is your favorite author?

As far as YA goes, my favorite author is Jerry Spinelli for the awesome novel, Stargirl.  However my favorite author of all time is J.D. Salinger. I read his nine stories in college and was hooked on the way he crafted character and emotion. In Pretty Mouth And Green My Eyes I literally cringed at the end of the conversation. The entire story is conversation, and yet so much is going on beneath the surface. I try to do that. I’m sure most times I don’t succeed, but I try 😉

Aww, Hell No!
Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship—they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together.
“But come on, guys, she’s my mother… Can I really tell her that while we’re snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I’m secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes? Of course not…”
The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again. She hasn’t had a man in her life since Megan’s father left ten years ago.
Enter two mysterious young men, Megan’s new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando. Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships. But neither of the handsome guys is quite what he seems. In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride. Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him. If she doesn’t, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL.
Boyfriend From Hell is the first book in the Falling Angels Saga from the author of the gruesomely hilarious, Never Slow Dance With A Zombie

Explosive Eighteen (Stephanie Plum Series #18) Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich

Synopsis:

Overview

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum’s life is set to blow sky high when international murder hits dangerously close to home, in this dynamite novel by Janet Evanovich.

Before Stephanie can even step foot off Flight 127 Hawaii to Newark, she’s knee deep in trouble. Her dream vacation turned into a nightmare, and she’s flying back to New Jersey solo. Worse still, her seatmate never returned to the plane after the L.A. layover. Now he’s dead, in a garbage can, waiting for curbside pickup. His killer could be anyone. And a ragtag collection of thugs and psychos, not to mention the FBI, are all looking for a photograph the dead man was supposed to be carrying.

Only one other person has seen the missing photo—Stephanie Plum. Now she’s the target, and she doesn’t intend to end up in a garbage can. With the help of an FBI sketch artist Stephanie re-creates the person in the photo. Unfortunately the first sketch turns out to look like Tom Cruise, and the second sketch like Ashton Kutcher. Until Stephanie can improve her descriptive skills, she’ll need to watch her back.

Over at the bail bonds agency things are going from bad to worse. The bonds bus serving as Vinnie’s temporary HQ goes up in smoke. Stephanie’s wheelman, Lula, falls in love with their largest skip yet. Lifetime arch nemesis Joyce Barnhardt moves into Stephanie’s apartment. And everyone wants to know what happened in Hawaii?

Morelli, Trenton’s hottest cop, isn’t talking about Hawaii. Ranger, the man of mystery, isn’t talking about Hawaii.  And all Stephanie is willing to say about her Hawaiian vacation is . . . It’s complicated.

No point in sneaking into his house and his office and looking around.  I was coming to this game late.  The fake FBI, the legitimate FBI, local police, employees, and relatives would already have combed through everything.
