But they weren’t done yet.  There was a number seven, kind of quietly added on at the end.  We reserve the right to call you if your expertise is required.  And if we do, you must call back.  I agreed.  It wasn’t as if any of this was really up for debate.

Now what teaser do you have for me this week?

Synopsis

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris – until she meets Etienne St. Clair: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he’s taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.
As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near – misses end with the French kiss Anna – and readers – have long awaited?

My Thoughts

First, let me say that I has so much anticipation to read Anna and the French Kiss.  I had read review after review and they all had wonderful things to say.  I was a bit nervous that for some reason I was not going to like it, but I had nothing to worry about.  I loved this book.  Stephanie Perkins did a wonderful job with not only the story line but really building full and complete characters.  With as many as there are in this book, I was pleased to see the level on detail on each and everyone one of them.
What would seemly be an amazing opportunity to be away from your parents for your senior year of high school was a disaster for Anna but though meeting a group of friends right of the bat it is getting easier day by day for Anna.  Though she does not realize it right away she is falling for St Clair and she does not know how to handle it – he is taken and she has a guy she really wants back home.
One of my favorite parts of this book is Anna’s love for movies and the descriptions of the movie theaters in France.  I loved this touch and it made Anna such a deep character.
I high recommend this book.  It is a great fun loving read.  I know I didn’t want to put it down.

My Rating

5 stars – great read – perfect to curl up on the couch or hang out at the beach with.
*This book was purchased by myself and this is my honest review of it.
