Q: What drove you to start book blogging in the first place?
I feel like this question has been coming up all of the place lately but that is okay! I started blogging when I found a book blog and then started questioning myself as to why I never knew about this wonderful community. I love reading, I love talking about books, I love sharing my thoughts on books, why am I not doing this? Well, that was it I took the dive even though I was convinced that there was not a single other person out there in internet world that would give two hoots about what I thought. I am pleased that people are interested, my heart still speeds up every time a reader leaves me a comment.
What about you? Or if you do not blog, do you want to? I am curious about all of you 🙂
Q: Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don’t like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place
I am not a huge fan of space and space travel but I kept hearing great things about Across the Universe by Beth Revis. I went back and forth about if I wanted to spend this kind of money on a hardcover that there was a really good chance that I was not going to like. Well, I did pick it up and I ended up really liking the story, enough to buy book 2. I need to learn to take a step outside my normal zone more often, because it seem as though my taste seems to keep expanding. Maybe I will go back and try the Terry Goodkind that my husband says I really must try. Intimidating at being like 12 books behind. 🙂
I am going to try to think of another great example of this, I know I have some others so I am hoping that they will come to me at some point today.
Across the Universe by Beth Revis
First couple of the Terry Goodkind Books in the Sword of Truth Series.
Now what amazing books have you found by stepping outside of your normal reading genres? Leave me comment please 🙂
Q: Q: Birthday Wishes — Blow out the candles and imagine what character could pop out of your cake…who is it and what book are they from??
I think Jamie from Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon. There is just something about the man, he would probably kill me for bringing him to this time but I think it would be worth it.
What about you?
