I hope that you will help me welcome Anya Winter to the blog today. Where she is going to tempt us with a bit of chocolate. Thank you for coming my today Anya. Don’t forget to check out the giveaway below.
I’m a chocoholic. 100% home grown and true 😉 It’s why every single story I write has chocolate in it. Normally, I try to hide my addiction. I might casually mention it in a scene or two, but in The Mask, my true tendencies came out in full force. If you like foodie romance, this book is for you. If you are a lover of chocolate and romance, then this story will hit close to home. I promise.
Let me tempt you with a small piece from The Mask – Book 2 of the Masquerade Series.
“Take a bite my friend. The cream in the middle is enough to make a grown man weep. I swear God whispers the recipes of succulent desserts into our sweet Eve’s ear.” Josh closed his eyes as he took a bite of his own éclair.
“Tell me you wouldn’t fall at her feet and kiss those dainty toes after you eat that.”
Christian raised the pastry to his lips. A delicate aroma of cream swirled under his nose. He popped the éclair into his mouth and struggled to not groan. His nostrils flared as an explosion of chocolate whip cream with a hint of coffee liqueur filled his.
He glanced at Josh in surprise.
“I know. I told you,” Josh grinned.
Christian grabbed another éclair from the plate and popped it in his mouth. These were amazing. The pastry was light, melt-in-your-mouth perfection while the whipped cream tantalized the taste buds until the chocolate coating announced its presence.
I love eclairs, especially homemade ones dipped in chocolate. Tell me, what is your favorite type of decadent chocolate?

Christian Grier is a man with a secret. In the foodie world, he’s known as the Editor-in-Chief of the famous magazine, Sizzle. When his old college roommate, Josh, asks him to attend the ball his company is catering, Christian intended to turn him down. But when Josh reveals Eve’s secret plan, he knew he needed to do everything he could to help. Will hiding behind his mask help in his quest to seduce Eve or will she decide he’s not what she wants after all?

Wow now I want an eclair. Great post!
Hildie, I promise, those eclairs are amazing 🙂
I am NOT a big chocolate fan! Hard to believe, I know. My staff says that they plan on adding that question to future interviews…because if they had known in advance, they may have had second thoughts…LOL. I hate Hershey bars, fudge, chocolate cake, chocolate ice cream…BUT, I do love a great hot cocoa (like Godiva) made with milk and lots of whipped cream on top.
Catherine, I’m a sucker for a good cup of cocoa and whip cream. Shoot – I’m just a sucker for whip cream period 🙂
I love chocolate … Sounds like a tempting book! 🙂
Thanks for reading about The Mask 🙂 Be prepared to be tempted … lol
Umm any form of chocolate is fine with me!

Alisia, hmm…well, there is some sexy scenes in the book that you might find enticing as well 🙂
My favorite chocolate treat would be fudge.
June, I just discovered this little shop with homemade fudge. OMG – I died and went to heaven! Their turtle fudge was so good 🙂
I love chocolate mousse. It is by far the best thing ever made. I don’t eat it often maybe that’s why it’s so darn good.
Mary
