Booking Through Thursday: Interview

If you could sit down and interview anyone, who would it be?
And, what would you ask them?

I would have to say that I would want to interview this man, J.R.R. Toliken.  I have always been amazed with Mr. Toliken and after more research I find him to be an amazing and interesting person.

1. Do you consider yourself more of a linguist or a grammarian?

2. What are the names/origins/history behind each of the nine, and why were we only told the name of Khamul? Was this because you had a back story for him?

3.  Did you ever have any challenges writing the languages of Middle Earth?

4.  What do you think of where Lord of the Rings has gone since your death?

5.  Did writing this fill you with the depth of emotion that reading it did in so many others?

6. What are you thoughts on current Fantasy authors and their series?

And then some questions about the books themselves.  I just have questions.

1. At the end of his long life, why did Sam take the ship to the West? With a lifetime of blessedness in the Shire with family & friends, did he still end his days sad & lonely and in need?

2.  What’s your favorite character throughout your works?

3.  Do orcs have free will?

4.  After the destruction of the One ring, what happened to Sauron? He still existed to some extent, but what did he do after losing the one ring of power?

I have a ton more questions but that is all I am going to put down now.  I cannot wait to see the questions and people that you all come up with.  Please leave a comment so I can check yours out!
