Follow Friday

Q. Have you ever wanted a villain to win at the end of a story?  If so, which one??

A.  I know that there are some books that I have read that I would have loved for this to happen.  I know that I have some better example of books but can’t come up with anything other than Damon from Vampires Diaries.  He is so bad early in the series he is good, if that makes any sense.  I am going to think about this on my drive to work and may come back and revisit it.

Book Blogger Hop“Many of us primarily read one genre of books, with others sprinkled in. If authors stopped writing that genre, what genre would you start reading? Or would you give up reading completely if you couldn’t read that genre anymore?”

Right now, I have been on a YA kick but that is mostly because I just discovered the genre.  I still find that I really need to take a break and read other things as well.  So I would say that I would go back and read the romance, fantasy and  contemporary fiction that I was reading before I discovered the wonderful world that is YA.  There is no way that I would stop reading.  I can always find something that is interesting and that fulfills my need to read!

Welcome to those of you who are visiting for the first time today.  I hope that if you enjoy your visit you will follow me.  It on the upper right hand side.  Please let me know if you are a new follower, I might have something up my sleeve :).  I am hoping that you will leave your answers.  I am really interested in seeing the answers for both questions today!

  1. I’m in a bit of a YA kick at the moment as well, I didn’t really read that much of it until a few months ago so I’ve been catching up 🙂

    I’m an old follower! 😀

  2. Ooh Damon yes! My answer is sort of similar to that, although I didn’t choose him!

    Here’s my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower 🙂

  4. I read Vampire Diaries years ago when it first came out but barely remember it. I just know that the tv series is nothing like the books. Thanks for hopping by!

  5. I couldn’t think of a specific example of rooting for the villain – but you reminded me, Damon, definitely, I can see what you mean.

I wouldn’t stop reading either! I read a lot of genres, and if one stopped to exist I’d definitely find something else to read.

Thanks for stopping by earlier and trying to follow (I’m afraid it didn’t work), I’m following you now:)

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Please don’t be shocked but this week I’ve got a straightforward, cut and dried answer to this week’s question… for a change!

Root for villains? No way, no how. Why am I being so narrow minded? Follow me back to my blog and find out why – http://www.howardsherman.net

  7. I love reading so much, I could never stop reading! I’d just find another interesting genre and love that!

    My Follow Friday!

  8. YA is a great genre. There’s so much variety within the genre that it doesn’t get boring. But I like to jump around with what I read too. Thanks for hopping by!

  9. There are so many different things to read even if new books in a favorite genre stopped being published. Please come see what I would read.

  10. Thanks for stopping by! Old follower here and you are right, even the ‘bad’ vampires in series are somethimes alluring, right?
