Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted on Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s Waiting On Wednesday selection is:

A Memory of Light (Wheel of Time Series #14)A Memory of Light by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson

Release Date: January 8, 2013

Since 1990, when Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time® burst on the world with its first book, The Eye of the World, readers have been anticipating the final scenes of this extraordinary saga, which has sold over forty million copies in over thirty-two languages.

When Robert Jordan died in 2007, all feared that these concluding scenes would never be written. But working from notes and partials left by Jordan, established fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson stepped in to complete the masterwork. With The Gathering Storm (Book 12) and Towers of Midnight (Book 13) behind him, both of which were # 1 New York Times hardcover bestsellers, Sanderson now re-creates the vision that Robert Jordan left behind.

Edited by Jordan’s widow, who edited all of Jordan’s books, A Memory of Light will delight, enthrall, and deeply satisfy all of Jordan’s legions of readers.

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass.

What was, what will be, and what is,

May yet fall under the Shadow.

Let the Dragon ride again on the winds of time.

Not much to say other than book 14 and the final book.

Wheel of Time How to Get Caught Up

A Memory of Light Facebook Timeline Banners: Rand al’Thor

So you might recognize this header from a post last week about The Wheel of  Time Series.  I got to thinking after I posted it that many of you may not have heard of this series and might be a little intimidated by trying to catch up on a series in time to catch the very last book.  In turn I began to think about how I have been in your shoes and how I have a solutions – Audio Books!  Most of us have a commute of some distance and audio book are the perfect solution to getting caught up on a series without missing out on your current TBR pile.  The solution is pretty since and it is easier than every with sites like Audible where you can just download the book to your favorite device and listen on the run.  The only problem with that is you might not want to get out of the car or off the bus when you arrive.  Since I had mentioned this series specifically I thought that I would share a couple of clips from the books in the Wheel of Time Series so you can get the feel for what a great story is waiting for you! Don’t forget that most libraries have audio books to check out so don’t think that you have to be able to purchase them because most likely they will be available at your local library as well.  That being said  this is such a great series that I know you will want to listen to them a second time through.  Just click on the links below to check out this great series!
