Invincible Summer  Synopsis:

Noah’s happier than I’ve seen him in months. So I’d be an awful brother to get in the way of that. It’s not like I have some relationship with Melinda. It was just a kiss. Am I going to ruin Noah’s happiness because of a kiss?

Across four sun-kissed, drama-drenched summers at his family’s beach house, Chase is falling in love, falling in lust, and trying to keep his life from falling apart. But some girls are addictive….

My Thoughts:

First let me say that I have heard lots of great things about this book and despite my feeling it was well written and well put together, unfortunately it just was not for me.  It was a quick read but I had lot of trouble connecting with the story, character and what the underlying message really was.    It was odd to me that these two brothers could have some form of a relationship with the same gir and everyone be seemingly okay with it.  I just had a really hard time with it and was unable to get past it no matter how hard I tried.  I think that this was the sticking point for me.  Now while I said it was not for me, I really enjoyed the part of the story line that dealt with coaching with the youngest brother and his inability to hear.  I found this to be the best part of the story.

I don’t really have much else to say about this book.  I think that you should give a chance because while it was not for me it might be great for you.

My Rating:

Three Penguins – while it was not for me it was well written and an unique idea.
