What’s the last book you were really EXCITED to read?

And, were you excited about it in advance? Or did the excitement bloom while you were reading it?

Are there any books you’re excited about right NOW?

I love this question and I have two answer really one YA book and another one.  So let’s get down to it.  Here are the books:

Lola and the Boy Next DoorNew York to Dallas (In Death Series #33)

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins

New York to Dallas by J.D. Robb

I was super excited to read Lola and the Boy Next Door because I loved Anna and the French Kiss (click for review), it was just a great book – not just well written but grabbed and kept my attention.  Honestly, I couldn’t put it down.  While I really enjoyed Lola and the Boy Next Door, it did not top Anna and the French Kiss for me.  I know a lot of people loved Lola more but not me.  The writing style and the way the story unfolds is wonderful!

The other books that I was super excited about is New York to Dallas.  This is the first book in this series that does not include In Death in the title.  I love this exploration of relationships. Rourke and Eve are just amazing!  Each book they learn more about how they work together in their relationship and with others.  I was CRAZY excited to get an ARC of this and I am reading it right now.  It has been a busy week so I have not had a much time as I would like to read it.

What about you?

This week’s Booking Through Thursday Question is:

What’s the latest you’ve ever stayed up reading a book? Is staying up late reading a usual thing for you?

I have stayed up all night – I know that is bad but I really just had to know what happened!  I couldn’t even tell you know what book it was.  When I was younger it was much easier for me to stay up later.  Now, I end up falling asleep while I am reading which in return means that I must go back and reread pages until I know what is happening.

Funny that this question should come today because I would have love to stay up last night and read this little number…

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins: Book Cover

Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins.  I have been dying to read it since I finished Anna and The French Kiss which I loved.  Such a great story.  The problem with staying up last night was that I had to be at work this morning so it was a no go but I did get about 50 pages in and I will most likely finish it tonight.  So excited to get in on a blog tour for this book.  That being said watch for a review coming soon!

Booking Through Thursday Question For This Week.

What’s the first book that you ever read more than once? (I’m assuming there’s at least one.)

What book have you read the most times? And–how many?

I think the first book that I remember rereading was Outlander by Diana Gabaldon.  It is also the one that I have reread the most.  I don’t know how many times I have read it but each time a new book comes out I end up having to reread most of the series because there is just so much that happens in it that I need the refresher.  I was happy when the companion guide came out because it has abridged for the first three books.  Normally, I hate abridged books but in this case I am happy they are there since the regular books are around 1,000 pages each.

Typically, I am not a re-reader.  For me if I know what happens at the end of the story there is no real reason to reread the book.  My exception is if I forget what happened or I really need to brush up on the story line for a new book to make sense.  This is something that drives my husband crazy because he rereads almost every book he owns and usually 2 and 3 times if not more.  I guess maybe I should try this sometime but right now I have more books that I know what to do with so I will keep working my way through those. On the other hand, I will relisten to audio books.  Somehow, that is different for me.

I am looking forward to the answers for this Booking Through Thursday question  so I hope that you will leave me a comment with your answer or link.  Remember the comment are at the top right hand side of this post.

Have a great Thursday!
