Finally, when they showed up two days later, they’d given Sarah a suture kit, a microscope, and a certificate of deposit with the money in it earmarked for medical school.

Good read so far.  I really wanted to read a couple of Christmasy books for the season!

It wasn’t hard to imagine that Sleazy has another shady customer, but it was unlikely both would come back to lite him at the same time.
