Q: What blogger inspires you? It can be any kind, it doesn’t have to be a book blog.
A. There are a couple of Healthy Living Blogs that really inspire me. Not only are they helpful with tips and such but they all live real lives and they share their struggles, successes and more. So without further ado they are:
Carrot ‘n Cake
Kath Eats Real Food
Healthy Tipping Point
Peanut Butter Fingers
You should really stop by and check these blogs out. Not only do they write their blogs but most of these ladies have also written books. 🙂
There are so many book bloggers that I inspire me that I am not even sure how I would begin to make a list to share. Really I think that every book blogger out there has something to bring to this community. There have been a lot of ups and downs and their will continue to be but really each person brings something unique and for the most part make us stronger as a whole.
Now it is your turn to share. Who inspires you?
Q: What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?
A. This is a great question but a really tough one to answer. Starting a blog is really a learning process. Not only about what to do but what you like and what you do not like.
I think that if I was going to start my blog again I would have done more research about blogging platforms. I would have started on WordPress, if I was aware of all of the problems I would have encountered with Blogger along the way. However, that being said knowing how Blogger works afforded me the opportunity to work with Roxanne at Bewitching Book Tours as her assistant, which I love and have learned so much about the book world!
I would and still should network more. I am really a pretty reserved person and have a hard time putting myself out there. I would love to get to know more blogger but just do not seem to have the big personality to just do it.
I also think that I would have thought about my theme and been consistent from the beginning. I love that when I talk to author and publishers they know my blog because I rank in my unique little penguins but I also think that there was more that I could have done with them and my theme to really set myself apart.
Okay now having said all of this, I don’t think that I would have done anything different. Life is about living, making mistakes, learning lessons and growing and moving forward. I love my blog and while I go through my slumps I do this for me. Yes, I love sharing with all of you but really this is my outlet and I love doing it.
All Right, now I want to hear from all of you bloggers, please! What would you have changed?
Q: Do your reading habits change based on your mood? Do you read a certain genre if you are feeling depressed or happy?
Yes, my reading habits for sure change depending on my moods. Just looking at the books I have read this year should give you a decent picture.
There are for sure some months in there that you can look at my numbers and wonder what in the world happened. Well, I can tell you I was in low points at that time. I could not force myself to even do what I love and that is reading. I don’t know if there is a specific type of book I read when I am happy or sad but for sure I seem to read in phases. For example, right now it appears that I am in a phase of adult contempory books. I have probably read 7 in the last month. I am getting the itch for something else so I would expect to see a change pretty soon. What about you? Do your reading habits change? Let me know in the comments and have a FANTASTIC Friday!
