  1. Organization and me are not friends. lol My book collection is badly in need of being put in order but I flip through them looking for certain titles so nothing much remains in order. Well, except for keeping books by the same author together. I tend to make sure I do that at the very least.
And when it comes to picking out my next read… I kind of go with whatever cover or title or author grabs my attention. One week I am reading paranormals like mad, then suddenly I want a historical. Or maybe one week I decide to tackle a series by a certain author. It all depends on my mood. Thanks for the giveaway!

    • Lady Vamp,

You sound like me. Sometimes if a cover catches my eye, I’ll read that one next.

      Thanks for stopping by,
      Dawn

  2. I usually organize my books by titles, genres and size.I have separate shelves for YA novels, classics etc.And about my next read,I mostly decide by the description of the book.Or the recent blurb going on about the new releases.
Thank you so much for the giveaway !

    • Ifrah,

Wow! You are organized. I bow to you. lol

      Great suggestions.

  3. I keep my books fairly organized. All the same authors are all together and I have them in series order also. I do have way to many books also. It if hard for me to give any away. I have to use that book hoarder comment. I had to buy another book shelf. My husband took his books off my shelf and got his own because he stated that I pushed all his books to the back and he could not even see his. (I did push them all the way in the back)haha.
thanks for the giveaway and the chance to win.

    • Chris,

That is too funny that you pushed your husbands books to the back and he had to get his own shelf. lol

My hubby doesn’t like to read, can you imagine!

  4. I am so not organized. In the living room most of my books are organized by color because I saw that on a design show, in the spare room/library books are organized by… um, size maybe? I do have a few places for unread reads, and I have a virtual tbr shelf on my kindle, but that’s about it. And I read several books at a time, one on my nook, my kindle, my phone and usually a paperback or two (and yes, I’m a bathroom reader too, but sometimes I just keep books I like to re-read in there).

  5. We sound alike, Kate.

Maybe I should try that color organization too. Glad I’m not the only one reading books on several different devices.

  6. I am in no way, shape or form an organizer. I don’t even have my books organized I just keep piling them up and then start a new one when that gets to high. I don’t give any away till I have read them. I should stop buying them also.

  7. Hey girl, I have my books organized by order of importance to me. lol. So, yes there is a top shelf. I’d put you up there for sure! Hugs—Rachel Firasek

    • How sweet of you to say, Rachel… Hugs back at ya.

  8. This is a tough one! I bought a house based purely on a room with walls of built-in bookcases! I have my books divided into four sections: books to review for my book blog, in order of release date; my TBR shelves, which currently are in no order whatsoever and at last count had gone over 200 books (yikes); my urban fantasy-paranormal romance shelves, organized by author last name, and in series order; and “other”–my Stephen King collection, my Susan Howatch collection, etc. And I have empty shelves, which means more books! Let’s not even talk about the books on my Kindle 🙂

  9. Wow, Suzanne. You bought a house because of the bookcases. I love it.
And over 200 books. Geesh, I thought I was bad. I stopped counting.

P.s. I love your free read on your blog!

  10. Good luck! I try to organize my purchased books in a rough genera order. If I get books to review I put them in their own pile. My ebooks get put either in a shelf of misc books or to be reviewed. Beyond that I started an excel spreadsheet just so I could keep track of when I got the books just so I don’t let them sit too long without a review. I admit I still find the TBR pile growing. It’s like grey hairs, I read one and two more take its place.
