Follow Friday

TGIF everyone!  It has been a pretty long week around here and I am very ready for the weekend.  Keep in mind that here in Michigan the walkers in the Susan G. Komen 3-day for the Cure are walking sixty miles in 3 days to help stop breast cancer.  Keep them in your thoughts!

Q. How has your reading habits changed since you were a teen? or If you are still a teen what new genres are you in love with currently?

Lisa –  My habits have also changed a lot since I was a teen. Then I read but it was pretty haphazard.  Now, reading is a priority and an outlet to check out of the craziness of life as an adult.   I really didn’t find any authors that I had to read so I just picked up a book here or there and it might have taken me weeks to read it in between all of the other commitments I had.  I wish that I had been more interested then, but maybe it makes me apperaciate books more now.  Really this all changed about the time I started college.  Thank goodness.  While I always read romance, my genres have expanded like crazy.

David – As an adult, I have less time to read so in turn I read less books.  In High School, it was not uncommon for me to read a book a day when I could afford to buy them.  Lunch money was usually spent on books not on food.  Still had enough for a pop and candy bar but books were cheaper then.  I still read the same types of books, that has not changed.

I hope that if you don’t already you will follow, if you do please let me know so if I don’t already follow you I can.  So we shared ours now how do you answer this Follow Friday Question?

  1. I was always an avid reader! Really the only thing that has changed about my reading habits is that I no longer read any contemporary novels! All about the paranormal! Was like that back then too, but paranormal YA was a lot harder to come by!

    Here’s my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  2. I’m also very glad that I have branched out in my genres since teenage years…I would have been seriously missing out. Anyhow, happy FF! Book Savvy Babe

  3. I’ve been a pretty avid reader since childhood, but I probably do read more now as an adult. And I agree, reading is a great outlet from the daily stresses of life 🙂 I’ve visited here before, but apparently was never a follower, so….Hi! I’m your newest fan 😉

  4. Hi guys – new follower here.

As a teen I was a David rather than Lisa – all reading, all the time. I have more going on now. Late bloomer, I guess.

    Happy Friday!

  5. Thanks for stopping by! I have always been an avid reader but have just grown from Christian books (my dad was a pastor which limited what I was ‘allowed’ to read) to more romance most of the time. But I love a good mystery/thriller once in awhile 🙂

  6. Thanks for stopping by and I’m a new follower 🙂
I have always been an avid reader but I have grown in what I read…my dad was a pastor so I was really only allowed Christian type books for a long time but I have now branched out to mostly romance with suspense books thrown in once in awhile!

  7. Hopping through. I always read as a teen but like you it’s become much more of a purposeful outlet now.
