Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

I would love to sit down with J.R.R Tolkien, Diana Gadablon and Nora Roberts.  I love all of these authors and I think that each of them has an unique style and would love to pick their brains about their writing, their lives and experiences.  I guess this also says a lot about my reading style.  It is all over the place.

Book Blogger Hop What’s the ONE GENRE that you wish you could get into, but just can’t?

I really wish that I could get into Steampunk.  I have read a couple of books and they just take me forever to read which takes away from the experience for me.  I just have a really hard time with the concepts.  I have enjoyed the stories but just wish they were easier for me to read.

What about you?  I would love to hear your answers to either of the Follow Friday  questions.  Remember comments are locate at the top right had side of this post!

  1. I can’t get into steampunk either. Stop by my own place when you can. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  2. My reading tends to get all over the place too, I have so many interests!

As for steampunk, have you read Gail Carriger’s novels? Soulless, Changeless, Blameless and Heartless? They’re amazing! So is Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan. Don’t discount the genre, sometimes you just need the right author!

new follower, thanks for stopping by my blog!

  3. I haven’t heard of those authors, I’ll check them out!
    Thanks for stopping by!

  4. I’m still easing into steampunk myself. I do have a few faves already that I enjoy. Although when it gets to the mechanical stuff my eyes sort of glaze over!

    Here’s my Friday Hops

    Have a GREAT weekend!

    Old Follower 🙂

  5. Hopping through. I’ve only read one steampunk-ish novel: Greyfriar by Clay and Susan Griffith. It’s also a vampire tale. I didn’t think the steampunk part was anything special. It was the story that I loved.

  6. I picked Tolkien as well!

I am hopping through and am a new follower. Please return the follow favor!

    My hopping post is here.

  7. Hi. Happy Belated FF from a new follower. Interesting choices. I also picked Tolkien as one of my three. I could think of so many questions to ask him about world-building that it would probably take us all day to get through them.
